The Connected Village was born from personal experience with childhood adversity and the understanding that healing happens in community. We’ve seen firsthand how interconnected challenges like addiction, mental health struggles, and family stress create cycles that affect multiple generations.
We’ve also witnessed the power of small, intentional changes and supportive relationships to create profound transformation. When caring people work together across different sectors of a community, we create ripple effects that build resilience and hope.
We’re bringing together families seeking support with leaders who want to create meaningful change — not through massive new programs, but through practical strategies and authentic connections that honor faith and build lasting impact.
Join us for a special gathering with dual purpose: honoring loved ones affected by addiction, mental health challenges, and domestic violence, while simultaneously launching the Community Resilience Network.
This event creates space for remembrance while building practical support systems for our community’s future.
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are potentially traumatic events that occur before age 18, including experiences like abuse, neglect, and household challenges such as substance abuse or mental illness.
About 61% of adults report experiencing at least one type of ACE, and 16% report four or more types. The more ACEs a person experiences, the higher their risk for challenges including depression, substance abuse, heart disease, and reduced life opportunity.
But there’s hope. ACEs are preventable, and their effects can be buffered by supportive relationships and environments. When we connect caring leaders across all sectors with families seeking support, we create comprehensive solutions that can transform lives and communities.
We focus on breaking cycles of trauma and creating new patterns of health and resilience that can be passed down through generations.
Resilience is the ability to thrive despite adversity. Through supportive relationships and practical tools, we help families and communities develop this essential strength.
Our work is grounded in faith, recognizing the importance of spiritual wellbeing alongside physical, emotional, and social health.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
